This module provides an overview of how Yin Yoga can be adapted and applied in a trauma-sensitive manner, considering the unique needs and experiences of individuals dealing with trauma.
This module delves into the principles and theories behind using Yin Yoga as a healing modality, focusing on how specific poses and practices can support emotional and physical healing.
Students learn about the autonomic nervous system and its role in regulating stress responses, exploring how Yin Yoga can influence and support nervous system regulation.
This module covers the neurobiological aspects of stress and trauma, offering insights into how Yin Yoga practices can positively impact the brain and nervous system to promote relaxation and resilience.
Students are introduced to the concept of Chinese meridians and how they relate to energy flow and trauma responses in the body, laying the foundation for understanding meridian-based approaches to healing.
This module explores how working with Chinese meridians can be integrated into trauma recovery practices within the context of Yin Yoga, offering a holistic approach to healing.
Students learn about the fascia and its interconnectedness with the nervous system, exploring how Yin Yoga can target fascial release to support overall nervous system health.
This module focuses on the practice of Yoga Nidra as a powerful tool for trauma recovery, incorporating guided relaxation and mindfulness techniques to promote deep healing and restoration.
Students explore a variety of somatic exercises and complementary modalities such as Qi Gong, tapping, sound healing, and pranayama, gaining a diverse toolkit for trauma-informed teaching and practice.
This module covers the art of sequencing Yin Yoga classes with a trauma-informed approach, considering pacing, poses, and themes that support emotional safety and healing.
Soon to graduate, students learn about the ethical considerations and boundaries when teaching trauma-informed Yin Yoga, as well as self-care practices to sustain their own well-being as teachers in this field.
Trauma Informed Yin Yoga Online Teacher Training is a 50-hour certificate training which includes: 6 (35hrs) live training classes (six hours each) over 2 weekends (fri-sun 12-6pm GMT 5:30+), 10hrs self-study modules of training materials (video/audio lectures, somatic yin practices, yoga nidra), and 5hrs homework assignment, quiz plus practicum video. If you cannot join the live sessions, the recordings will be available. You have one year to complete certification and lifetime access to the online material.

35hrs of Live Zoom Learning
Live zoom training will be hosted over two weekends (fri to sun) from 12pm-6pm IST (GMT 5:30+). The next trainings will be from November 22-24 & 29-Dec 01. If you are unable to join live, you can attend the training by watching the recordings.
*The training will end at 5pm GMT 5:30+ on the last day.
10hrs of Pre-Recorded Foundation Videos & Practices
In addition to the live training, you will need to complete 10hrs of pre-recorded foundation videos & practices inside your learning portal.
5hrs of Homework, Quiz & Practicum
The remaining 5 hours will be allocated to homework assignments, final quiz and a 60min practicum video. These submissions are required to receive your Certificate of Completion.

You will have lifetime access to the recordings, pre-recorded video lessons, and printable manual. This will become a source of your references and study long after the training has completed.
This training is open to anyone who is interested in learning about the healing power of yin yoga through a trauma sensitive lens. You do not have to be a yoga teacher prior to joining. Nevertheless, you must have practiced yin yoga before prior to joining this course.
This training is currently 100% virtual. Once signed up, you will have immediate access to your personal learning portal. This certification program is delivered through Zoom and on demand. There are live Zoom hours in which you can attend or catch the recordings later. To receive your certificate, you will up to one year to complete watching the live recordings, pre-recorded video lessons, homework, and practicum submission. You have lifetime access to all of the live recordings and pre-recorded materials.
Trauma Informed Yin Yoga is a professional teacher training, and, as such, is not focused on personal healing. If you are interested in working with a trauma-trained professional, it is recommend to visit a trauma-centred therapist in your local area.
Yes, in order to obtain our Yoga Alliance accredited Continuing Education certification, you must attend all of the live training hours or watch the recordings, complete all pre-recorded videos, quiz, submit homework assignments, and teaching practicum.
